Hi, I'm Kirsty
Gold Coast makeup artist based in Varsity Lakes. I specialise in bridal and event makeup and I take skin prep seriously. I genuinely love what I do.

“I love seeing someone walk out with a pep in their step and a glow they can't stop looking at. That's why I do this."
How it started.
Kirsty has loved beauty since she was a kid. She saved up for eyeshadow she could not afford and got into her mum's makeup whenever she could. She completed a degree in performing arts and drama. She did her sister's friend's makeup for their school ball, which she had completely forgotten about until that friend messaged her years later to remind her.
For years she worked as a personal trainer. She was good at it and she genuinely enjoyed it. But she always had clients who were passionate about skincare and beauty, and those were always the conversations she looked forward to most.
In early 2025 she committed. She trained at the Academy of Hair and Makeup in Melbourne, one of the city's highest-rated makeup schools, completing a ten-week course. For her final exam, her best friends flew over from New Zealand to be her models. She walked out of that room knowing this was exactly what she was supposed to be doing.

“Makeup is supposed to be enjoyed. That's always been the point for me."

What you will actually get
Kirsty describes herself as warm but direct. Always up for a laugh, but absolutely focused when it comes to the work. Her clients tend to be good fun, trusting and honest. They let her do her job and they enjoy the process.
She wants you to feel looked after and excited from the moment you make contact. Not overwhelmed. Not confused. Looked after and excited.
She is the older sister energy in the room. The one who will tell you honestly what looks good, keep the morning calm and make sure you walk out feeling incredible.
What working with Kirsty is like.
Warm, direct and always up for a laugh when that is the vibe in the room. Kirsty describes herself as older sister energy. She listens before she picks up a brush and builds the look around the person in front of her, not a trend she has been watching online. Whether the morning is a relaxed, quiet one-on-one or a full bridal party with music on and everyone getting ready together, she reads the room and matches the energy.
She arrives on time.
Every booking. A timeline that slips is not something her clients experience.
She shows up.
Not showing up is the most common complaint about makeup artists in this industry. Kirsty's clients have never had to make it.
She communicates clearly.
From the first enquiry to the day itself, clients always know what is happening and when.
She is honest.
If something will not suit the features or the occasion, she says so. Kindly and early enough to matter.
Where the discipline comes from.
Before makeup, Kirsty ran her own personal training business for years. That background gave her something that does not come naturally to every creative: structure, punctuality and the ability to manage a client-facing service professionally under pressure. She has always worked with women on things that matter to them. The approach carries across everything she does.

The experience behind the work.
Kirsty trained at the Academy of Hair and Makeup in Melbourne. Her background spans performing arts, ballroom and latin dance, and a wide range of bookings including work with MAC.
Come and say hello
Kirsty would love to hear about it.
